No child should ever have to feel;

· Excluded from sports and other activities because his/her family cannot afford the cost

· The embarrassment of not being able to hand in fees for class field trips and school activities

· The stress of knowing that his/her parents cannot afford school supplies, medical needs or other personal care items.

That’s why Teachers For Kids has been working to help.

The Teachers for Kids Foundation is a registered charity that was first conceived in 1986 to raise money to meet the needs of students suffering the effects of financial hardship.

Teachers for Kids provides support not available from other organizations that will make a critical difference to the social, emotional or physical well being of students. Funds are used for such things as sports and club registrations, sports equipment, providing materials that could support a student’s academic progress and providing medical and personal needs (examples include helping to purchase a wig for a student undergoing chemotherapy, providing clothes for students after house fires and assisting families traveling out of town for their child’s medical care). Because educational workers voluntarily commit many hours to our organization, administration costs are minimal so that every cent raised goes to helping students.
